The former District Agricultural Development Office, which was established in the year 2032 under the name of Agriculture Section and was working on Agricultural Extension in the District, was abolished in 2074/75 BS with the implementation of federalism in Nepal. In 2075/76, the Karnali Province Government is conducting the agricultural development program as a contact center for the Agricultural Knowledge Center Rukum (West), as per the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 2076/05/06, the decision to establish the Agricultural Development Office in all districts from FY 2076/77 Accordingly, the office was formally inaugurated on August 29, 2076 by the Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Honorable Mr. Prakash Jwala.
